Setting of Pride and Prejudice

The setting of “Pride and Prejudice” takes place in Longbourn, England around early 1800’s in a town called Meryton.

In order to get a better idea of where the places in Pride and Prejudice are located there is a  a map which explains whose house is located in each town as well as gives a visual for how far apart they are.

Meryton: The town in which where Longbourn is located, and is quartered by the militia

Longbourn: Bennet residence

Netherfield: Bingley residence

Pemberley: Mr. Darcy’s residence

Lucas Lodge: Lucas residence

Rosings Park: de Bourgh residence

Hunsford: Mr. Collins and Charlotte
