Pride and Prejudice (1940)
Costume: Not from the right time period, taken from a movie that was filmed a few years before. Wasn’t able to tell the difference between which character was which. Or which class each character was supposed to be in because they all looked alike
Acting: Way too dramatic, and wasn’t able to tell who was who, for example the actor playing Mr. Darcy seemed way too nice when talking to Mrs. Elizabeth
Sound: Music was like if it were to be in a Western film
Bridget Jones’s Diary (2001)
Setting: In a city
Costume: Modernized; Bridget wore a mini dress, but she is also a worker because we saw her in a three piece suit when she went to an interview
Acting: More of a Comedy. Able to tell who Wickham was supposed to portray because the actor was playing his character to be the bad boy, who smokes. Elizabeth is clearly supposed to be portrayed as Bridget, the main character in this film. Then Darcy is supposed to portray as the quiet character in this film, who seems to have the look of someone who judges everyone they meet.
Bride and Prejudice (2004)
Setting: India, not England
Costume: Traditional Indian attire
Acting: Elizabeth comes more off as a feminist, and Mr. Darcy tries to fit in with her family.
Sound: Modernized, and some Indian music
Pride and Prejudice (2005)
Setting: England in the 1800s
Costume: The right kind of clothes worn in the 1800s
Acting: Followed the plot of the novel, “Pride Prejudice”
Sound: Contemporary- Beethoven
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (2016)
Setting: England, but a little more dirtier and abandoned due to a zombie apocalypse
Costume: Tradition English attire, but revealing (Elizabeths dress shows her cleavage). Lots of leather
Acting: Elizabeth and some of the other female act more mainly because they learned to fight against zombies. Follows the plot of “Pride and Prejudice” but with a twist of zombies.
Sound: Modernized, but with a hint of horror due to the zombies
